Alpaca Fleece Care

Living Care
Care Recommendations
This guide applies to our plush toys, cushion covers, slippers, hot water bottle covers and fleece rugs. Known for their organic texture, undyed colour variations and unique character, these one-of-a-kind pieces are made to be treasured. With the right care, they will stay soft, beautiful and enduring for many years to come.
You’ll need a soft brush or wide-tooth comb and a spray bottle. Fill the bottle with water and a small drop of gentle shampoo or conditioner — formulas made for curly hair work well.
- Lightly mist the fleece and brush in the direction of the fibre
- Let it air dry naturally, ideally in the sun
- You can also use a damp cloth to gently wipe the surface if needed
Please do not immerse Alpaca fleece items in water or use a washing machine, as this can damage the natural hide beneath the fleece.
*A legend passed down from our artisan partners says that with gentle care, the fleece continues to grow — a beautiful reminder of the life behind the fibre.
After shipping, to refresh your new companion after their long journey, simply give them a gentle shake and a light brush to fluff up their fleece.
