Toys Care

2 min 15 sec

So, making a separate video to show you how to care for these little cuties and for our fleece items overall–so our cushion covers and our rugs as well–because they're a little bit different. These items can definitely be cleaned and refreshed, but the most important thing is that they are not supposed to be immersed in water, as that will damage them.

You just need a spray bottle like this (as shown in the video). I use a bit of warm water, put a drop of conditioner there, and shake it up. Don't do what I did and pour boiling water into the bottle.  You will melt the plastic bottle. Anyway, you just need water and a drop of shampoo or conditioner. You give the item the toy light spray, and you can just brush them out.

You've got to remember this is just like dealing with hair. So there's never been a stain or a mark or something that actually hasn't come out of these, and even when they've been overhugged, and maybe the rugs have been walked on a lot and overused, you can brush them to make them pop back up again so they're not as flat.

So I've seen rugs last for many years and look brand new with this technique. You just want to brush out the toys. It depends on whether you want to give it a big clean; you can use a bit more water, but never soak it. I think I probably just put a bit too much (as shown in the video), and then you shake them out, and you put them outside to dry. And then, when it's dry, it'll be all nice and fluffy. So you can really do that with the cushion covers as well as the rugs.

Hopefully, this is helpful for your customers to sort of reassure them that these items can be cleaned and can be preserved and refreshed as well.
