Fibre Feature

Alpaca Shearling

Our 100% natural Alpaca shearling is a soft, textured fleece made from the hide of the Alpaca. It is typically used to create plush toys, rugs, and cushion covers. It is undyed and minimally processed, and carries each animal's unique texture, colour, and character.

Because shearling is only sourced as a by-product of the local food industry or from natural losses due to the extreme conditions of the Andes, it is not always available. We work in very small batches and only produce when the material is ethically sourced and available in its naturally occurring tones.

This approach ensures minimal waste and reflects our deep respect for the animals and the land. Our partners work directly with small farming cooperatives in southern Peru, helping preserve traditional livelihoods and honouring the natural rhythm of life in the Andean highlands.
