Suri Alpaca

Suri Alpaca is a rare and luxurious fibre, sourced from the lesser-known Suri breed of Alpaca. Unlike the more common Huacaya Alpaca, which has a fluffy, wool-like fleece, Suri Alpacas grow long, silky locks that hang in smooth, glossy strands. This distinct fibre offers an elevated softness thanks to its silk-like texture, and its smooth, dense structure gives it a naturally lustrous finish.

The standout quality of Suri fibre is its exceptional pill resistance. In our experience, it is one of the most durable natural fibres available, maintaining its beauty and structure even with frequent wear. Some fibres measure under 20 microns in diameter, making them incredibly soft while still strong and long-lasting.

Suri Alpaca is also hypoallergenic, water-repellent, fire-resistant and naturally breathable. It regulates moisture, resists odour, and brings an elegant drape to any garment. Ideal for timeless pieces that are incredibly soft, luxurious and made to last.
