Baby Alpaca

At La Sierra, we choose Baby Alpaca for its incredible softness, gentle warmth and lasting comfort. This fibre is carefully sheared from the underbelly, chest and neck of the Alpaca, where it remains sheltered from harsh environmental conditions, resulting in an exceptionally fine and silky texture. With an average diameter of around 21.5 microns, Baby Alpaca is naturally breathable, hypoallergenic and feels smooth against the skin, making it perfect for year-round wear.

Some of our Baby Alpaca pieces are crafted in their purest form, using undyed or naturally coloured fibres that are biodegradable and gentle on both body and planet. For other designs, we thoughtfully blend Baby Alpaca with select natural fibres to add strength or texture, always maintaining our commitment to comfort, quality and conscious design.
